A few years back, I entered into this kind of popular home based business here in America without any knowledge of network marketing advertising. When I joined my first network marketing company, I was so excited hoping that I was going to earn lots of money easily. Yeah, right!!! That was when I got a chance to attend the first Regional conference in a 5-star hotel! Wow! big time! It was full-packed, lots of presentations, and the top performers were recognized and awarded like celebrities. Everybody was clapping and cheering for the top performers! Actually, I felt some kind of being jealous and I told myself, on the next conference, I will be going up that stage also. I was so full of enthusiasm and dreams (was already thinking of my dream charity project) on my way back home.
I followed every single little instruction that my upline told me. And that was how I implemented my network marketing advertising strategy. I listed down all my friends, family, relatives of relatives, friends of friends and the list went on and on. I called them, went to their houses, sent them emails, sent them some brochures ( spent some money already to reproduce those brochures) all about the products, the company and compensation plan of course! After a few months, I began questioning myself! “Do they still like me? Did I do something wrong to them? Why after those efforts, nobody even tried to join me?” At least, two people in my list purchased my products and one signed up and stayed for a while- a little consolation though. Oh my God! My auto-ship is accumulating and not having any profit at all! Anyone out there who can relate to me?
I did not realize before that I could use the internet in my network marketing advertising. The only thing I remembered from my upline and those leaders who spoke during the conference was: this business opportunity is a relationship based marketing and you always go/talk to your list about this opportunity. I did that! But it did not work! My solution? I quit!
But before I knew it, I was already involved again in another network marketing company because I needed their product for my skin problem. So since I became a regular user of their products, I decided to pursue it as my part-time business. But this time, I did not follow what they asked me to do – a long list again?! Excuse me! It did not work for me and I don’t want to waste my time and money anymore. And most of all, I hate cold callings and chasing down people again. I can’t do that to my family and friends again.
Yes, I still have my old list but this time I didn’t want to use it. Instead, I went to search online and learned so many things about network marketing advertising. I haven‘t felt this dumb before! Why did I not use the internet for my network marketing advertising? Oh Duh!?
When I found out about online strategies in network marketing advertising, I realized what I was doing wrong in my approach before – “which was always pitching about my products and compensation plan as the best.” Well, that’s how I became successful in my pharmaceutical marketing career for 15 years. Wrong – network marketing is a diferent kind of marketing, period! 
I did some more online research until I stumbled upon MLSP. You name every network marketing advertising strategy and MLSP has them all. I used some free strategies first because I didn’t want to lose lots of money again. But these free strategies are really time consuming – it was so hard for me as I was juggling my time between my family, work, plus a lot of errands and chores. I did it for a while and took it as a preparatory stage for my future network marketing advertising strategies online.
I kept on experimenting to find out what it can do for me and my business. Remember: advertising your products in the wrong place may very well cause more bad than good to your business.
I learned a lot from those free strategies and now I am ready to use some budget for the next. I have to accept the fact that network marketing advertising costs money, yes, but how else are you going to get a business network going, or promote a product without it?
Network marketing advertising is an investment and the right strategy should be chosen wisely and monitored for effectiveness regularly. But be very careful, it is also an easy way to lose a lot of money with ineffective advertising!
Network marketing advertising is very crucial to your business’s success, just as if you were to have a high street shop. Unfortunately there are so many selections online, you are probably aware that there are already over 100 million web sites in existence, many billions of ad advertisements for every product under the sun, and unless you’ve got a product that’s completely unique, there’ll be masses of other enterprises with far more funds to spend than you do. Oh No! How can I compete with them?
If you haven’t already put aside a budget for your network marketing advertising you must do so immediately, and figure out realistically how much you are able to afford on a once per month basis and do not go over that amount. If you realize that your advertising in a certain area is bringing results, you can always raise your budget later on.
If you haven’t done any network marketing advertsing using the internet and have a tiny budget, there are numerous techniques of advertising for free online. A number of these are absolutely useless and others may bring you fabulous results. However when you find that a method you are using does not bring results, drop it and move on.

Nor should you post on Twitter every few minutes ; you need to put up a following before even discussing what you are providing. You wouldn’t do it at a cocktail party, so do not do it on social media sites, blogs or forums either.
Just like a party where nearly everyone seems to be a stranger to you, you must build relations and trust before you try and pitch your product.
You may also need to depend on others to offer you referrals, and again, this comes thru social interaction, both offline and online.
It is essential you build a relationship with that person first. Leads are valuable, and no one is going to reach in his pocket if he does not know anything about you!
Direct mail programs are pretty much old hat nowadays, but still work best if you’re a local bricks and mortar enterprise or service, then direct mail is extremely effective.
What a lot of small business owners don’t understand though, is list building; a lot of info can be gathered from direct mailing, although it has got a very poor response number and is expensive.

1. Having your own website and selling your own products and services or selling other people’s products through drop shipping (suppliers’/wholesalers’ products). In my experience, this was so risky if you don’t know what you are doing and it was very time consuming because I was doing everything: website, all the research, customer service, shipping, and all the correspondence. Did I pursue it? Nope! Because it was not worth it. But I learned a lot.
2. Affiliate Marketing. This one is so popular because it is so easy to start with it even if you don’t have a budget. Well, I did tried it for one time to gain more experience. It’s really so easy to get started with it but making it successful is a different story. You need also to invest a lot in training to learn the effective marketing strategies to make it successful.
3. Information Marketing. This has become so popular too specially with the ebooks, mp3’s and videos. The challenge in information marketing is that you need to make sure there is a good demand and you know your target market, and it should be a niche market also.
4. Content Marketing. A lot of internet marketers are amassing huge success in their internet network marketing home based business by focusing on content marketing which can be done in different ways such as the following:

If you try to search for the term “free MLM leads, the search results will show you a lot of sites/companies offering thousands of leads and it doesn’t matter whichever search engine you use. Their offer is very straightforward and tempting and before you knew it you were already filling up their forms giving your own contact information to download what they say “new list.” Don’t be surprised if you see your own contact info also in the list! Now think about it.
Do you pay to get your MLM leads? Have you tried downloading a list of free MLM leads? Have you ever realized that it really needs a considerable amount of time, talent, experience and effort to generate a list of individuals who are really interested to have their own home based business and who also have the time and money to get started in their new enterprise immediately? What is the Google Penguin Update?
Google has been the leading search engine for years and have been combating spammers and irrelevant web content so that users can get the most relevant links every time they do a search on the Google search page and the latest algorithm, known as the Google Penguin Update, is meant to further cement this mission.
Google already launched their Panda update that actually calculates how much time a user spends on a page and connects this to the quality of the content and its relation to the keywords and the new Penguin algorithm is a build up on this but it focuses more on web spamming. Web spamming is not to be confused with white hat SEO techniques and over-optimization where a web owner uses all of the legal tips and tricks to get a higher page rank. Web spamming is when you create duplicate content and when you use irrelevant link schemes with negative web neighborhood that disrupts content and good flow.
The bottom line is if you violate the terms of Google’s Webmaster Guidelines you’ll see your pages get penalized and will receive a lower page rank. The more you continue to do so with these techniques your page will eventually be wiped off the page ranks and you’ll be on the bottom of the list.
Some websites that were penalized were not conducting any real negative scheme and Google understands this. The algorithm is not perfect yet and there is a very thin line between web spamming and over optimization. To recover from the penalties it is best to form relative links with other web sites that continuously post new, original content.
You should also constantly create new original content that is relevant to the keywords you focus on and to avoid posting too many links on the page and stuffing it with advertisements. By focusing on quality instead of numbers you’ll be clear of the penalties that the Google Penguin Update dishes out.

This has probably happened to you: You ‘Googled’ a number of sites to price computer software. Then, you visited a site about something completely different, but the ads were for—surprise!—new computer software. This seems strange, right?
Another scenario you might recognize is that you enter a keyword you’re targeting into a Google search to see how you rank and find that you’re number 1 on the list! But when you check the same keyword later, without logging in to your Google account, you discover that you’re not listed in the results at all.
It may seem like a coincidence, but the truth is that privacy advocates have been after Google for years, claiming that the Internet juggernaut has crossed the line on numerous occasions in the way it obtains and stores information about its users.
How did Google know to put those computer software ads up anyway? Well, it’s because your computer is telling them about your browsing habits. This happens because, when you’re browsing the Internet, “cookies” are installed on your computer. These cookies may sound harmless, but they’re actually storing information about you.
Usually, cookies are safe and can even improve your Internet surfing experience. Websites mainly install cookies on your hard drive to help identify you, so that when you visit a particular site, you get a customized version of that page. Cookies help make the Internet easier to navigate and more interactive with your preferences.
They also make it more convenient to visit the sites you use regularly. Cookies are the reason why don’t have to log into your EBay account, Gmail, or Facebook profile every time.
Cookies are set to remain on your computer for a set amount of time, and then they expire. Some expire as soon as you leave the site, and others stay on your computer until it is shut down. But, some can stay on your computer for years.
Cookies are harmful when they are used for more than just to improved you Internet experience and add convenience. Sometimes, third parties can use tracking cookies to monitor your browsing habits so that they can bombard you with ads for products you’ve searched for…like computer software.
Added to this way for Google to track your habits, it is reported that they recently were able to utilize a know weakness in Apple’s Safari browser. This resulted in the gathering of information from millions of searches. While many users might have thought that their searches were private, in fact they were not.
You should have an expectation that your email is private and that you’re the only reading it, right? But if you’re using Gmail, you should have privacy concerns. Did you know that Google scans your emails? You might your send an email to your sister about the lawn furniture you were thinking of buying for the summer, and then find advertisements for lawn furniture in the margins the next time you checked your email.
As if scanning the emails you send isn’t bad enough, Google takes it a step further and even scans the messages you receive from your others, and they don’t even have to be subscribed to Google! Google not only scans emails; it also stores the data obtained from these emails. This is astonishing! Here you thought that you were just telling a friend about the arrival of your new granddaughter, and instead you had an automated bot assuming you love children, and then provide you with ads about babies Why do they do this?
Google says it stores emails for up to 60 days and then deletes them. They also claim to only scan emails in order to integrate with product lines and that the cookies installed are not cross-referenced. But, the Electronic Privacy Center (epic.org) says that Google has the ability to keep emails indefinitely and that cookies can be cross-referenced.
Email scanning isn’t Google’s only privacy violation regarding its Gmail users. Last year, in 2011, Google Plus and Gmail integrated. So now, when you register for a Google Plus account and log in the first time, you might be surprised to find your email contacts already listed!
How is this possible?
Well, your contacts aren’t exactly there yet, but Google is suggesting them to you. It does this by discovering the people you email or chat with the most often. Google is already being criticized for this feature.
Google Plus’s disclosure policy says: ‘We will record information about your activity – such as posts you comment on and the other users with whom you interact – in order to provide you and other users with a better experience on Google services.’
When combined with the knowledge of Google’s email scanning, this claim to record information about users’ activity has should raise questions about how much privacy they really have. How much information about your social networking and email activity does Google record?
Google’s email violation is reminding many of other privacy violations perpetrated by the Google Internet Giant. Google has already had to pull the ‘resharing’ feature from Google+, which allowed users to share something with their circle that was previously shared with them by a friend or family member. This becomes a problem if the original user doesn’t intend the share to go any further. With this feature, a reshare by a friend does not require to approval.
The worst of these incidents was with ‘Google Buzz,’ which Google discontinued at the end of 2011 to focus on Google+. Just a few years ago, Google Buzz started instantly adding your Gmail contacts, making them visible to everyone! Google explained itself by assuring users that they could easily adjust privacy settings with a simple mouse click. But how many knew they could do that before the damage was done? Backlash from users and privacy advocates convinced Google to pull the feature.
This flagrant privacy violation, along with others, shows that Google has little concern for its users’ privacy.
If the email privacy issues weren’t enough, Google Street View has to be one of the greatest Internet privacy faux pas ever. With this service, unmarked vans drove around and took pictures of people and published them on the Internet. People didn’t get the chance to approve the images or give permission before those images were posted on Google Maps for the world to see.
The result of the scandal was lawsuits and unresolved anger toward Google. It was finally determined that, while taking the pictures wasn’t illegal, it was certainly an invasion of privacy. The incident left a bad taste in everyone’s mouth when it came to Google’s methods and disregard for privacy.
Do you know if you are featured on Google Maps? You could be. Google’s response to this is that if you find anything objectionable, feel free to report it.
As if all of the above was not enough as of March 1st, 2012 Google has announced that it will begin to build a profile of your habits. What does this mean? It appears that Google is just being more transparent about a practice that they started some time ago. Long before Google’s statement regular online users noticed that they were being subjected to advertising targeted to their most recent searches.
They intend to track your online activity across all your internet habits -check your email, check headlines, get directions, check your calendar, upload videos to YouTube and search things you want to learn more about. They state that this is to serve you better and one has to trust their altruistic intentions. Short of signing out of all their services there is not much that can be done to protect your privacy.
With all of this information about tracking cookies, email scanning and Internet photos, how do you protect your privacy online?
Unfortunately, the only perfect way to do this is to stay offline. What you do online will inevitably leave a trail of some kind.
But don’t panic, there are measures you can take to help ensure your privacy when you decide to browse the Internet. If ‘Big Brother Google’ is your main concern, you can avoid subscribing to Gmail, Google Plus and other Google Services.
On the other hand, if your main worry is over those tracking cookies…well, cookies are easy enough to remove. This can help protect your privacy and has the added bonus of freeing up space on your hard drive. You can find them stored in the ‘View Files’ tab listed under ‘Settings.’ Look for, and remove, unfamiliar URLs.
Another option is to adjust your browser’s ‘Privacy Settings’ so that you are notified when a cookie is being installed or modify settings to block cookies instantly.
