For the longest time I used “All in one SEO” for wordpress as my preferred plugin and enjoyed it. On a couple of sites I played around with “HeadSpace2” and it works well also. Both of these plugin’s need to be complimented for their programming to assist bloggers achieve proper SEO results. But after installing and trying out Yoast’s SEO plugin for wordpress, I am very impressed with it’s functionality. This plug even has a importer to help you transfer your setting from other plugins. Once you go through the settings you can go to a previous post and see what needs to be edited in the Page Analysis tab. Another great feature is the facebook and Google+ description you can create so your post displays with a snippet chosen by you.
My hat is off to you Mr Valk, Great job!! This is a plugin worth donating to IMHO.
Quote from the Yoast site;
WordPress SEO is the most complete WordPress SEO plugin that exists today for WordPress.org users. It incorporates everything from a snippet preview and page analysis functionality that helps you optimize your pages content, images titles, meta descriptions and more to XML sitemaps, and loads of optimization options in between.
Just a quick side note before any SEO’s share with me I’m not even use /%postname%/ in my permalinks settings. LOL. I know this and I’m testing using the default setting on purpose, but thanks for noticing.
Steve Wiideman did a great video explain this plugin.
